Poker Is a Good Book

Like a good book, poker can have a beginning, middle and ending. The start of the first hand can signal how you may play the rest of the game. A middle, could show you suddenly getting the cards that give you the large pot for that poker hand.

The ending could determine whether those hands of poker made you a winner of the game or having to fold because you just didn’t get the cards. What makes a good book is the characters challenge with a problem or situation. In poker, you have a challenge of cards and how to play them right.

A book can be an intense story that keeps you grabbing for more. Online poker can be fun and thrilling, having you jump from table to table, to tournament. Both a book and a poker game can leave you with a feeling of excitement.

Sometimes the ending of a book makes you feel depressed. Loosing a game of poker can be upsetting, especially if the beginning of the game looked so good for you. The disappointment can be disturbing.

The meat of the story can also be the character’s way of handling the problem in a way you thought they wouldn’t. Cards in poker can take a change in a way you least expected. The river card suddenly shows you a card you just didn’t want, so you lose or fold.
